We designed and produced the physical wayfinding and (online) identity for this year’s ArtEZ Art & Design finals.
The design is based on the grid of the windows that house the Art & Design departments in Arnhem, namely Oude Kraan and Rietveld. Upper- and lowercase letters dictate the design system, as the fill out a part of the window frame for each letter, creating two different and site-specific fonts. One for each building. In the final design, these fonts alternate and fill out the empty spaces.
The design was applied to a variety of media, including social media posts and animations, A3 posters, physical signage, a handout, timetables, award stickers and cheques.
