This project explores the history and implications of measurement systems, focusing on the development of the metric system. It tells the story of two 18th-century astronomers who aimed to create a universal standard, the meter, yet human error affected their results. The project questions the perceived rationality of measurement, especially in today’s digital age, where the human body is increasingly used as a source of data. It invites participants to consider the limitations of measurement and how subjective experiences can impact seemingly objective systems.
